Our Trade School Scholarship Program is a powerful tool that equips young people with hands-on skills they can immediately apply in today’s fast-moving job market. Yet, in California, the cost of trade school can soar well beyond $30,000—an impossible barrier for homeless youth striving for a better future.
That’s why we created our Trade School Scholarship Program, allowing youth to permanently change their trajectory and regain hope for their futures. With amazing partners, we cover the costs, eliminate financial roadblocks, and provide the support they need to build their careers.
Thanks to The Iron Ranger Foundation, now every donation goes even further: they will match contributions dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000. Your support can help transform lives, turning dreams into reality!

Our youth have the opportunity to learn trades ranging from phlebotomist, dental assistant, esthetician, EMT, construction worker, welder, and baker (just to name a few). In 2024 we celebrated 40 graduations 👏🏼 This year, our goal is to witness 80 youth graduate from our Trade School Program and see these young lives change their direction.

Alex’s message to you: "I absolutely believe that Urban’s Trade School program has removed all barriers, financially and academically, in order to get me into the Cosmetology program. The team has advocated for us and also helped us get comfortable with campus and has educated us on additional resources in order to be successful in our classes.
